5 Stars Completely Satisfied!
The Install went quick and fine. The technicians were in and out in no time and did a great job. No Complaints at all!
5 Stars The Install Guy went Above and Beyond
I highly recommend this service. When the installer “Lee” showed up my son was hell bent on making sure that his new Wii was in HD. We did not have the right cable thingy and Lee drove to Target store around the corner and got the right cable. The finished credenza looks great and we are very happy with this service and Lee. 1 Star dreadful, terrible service and unresponsive company
The serviceman who was sent to hook up new TV and Blu-Ray DVD player to existing cable was sweet natured but knew nothing about electricity. When DVD player and cable box didn’t work after he tried to plug them into the outlet, he insisted i had an electrical outlet problem and that I needed to call an electrician. He offered to hook things up via extention cord to another outlet. When I brought a small lamp over to the outlet he deemed defective and showed him that it worked fine, he said it must be, then, that I have a problem with the DVD player and cable box — that they were defective. I counseled him to wait a minute or two for the DVD player to start up, and sure enough it operated perfectly.
I called Zip to discuss a partial refund since the cable was never hooked up, but they never returned my call.
This was a disaster– a complete waste of money — a company unresponsive to a customer’s concerns and I
advise everyone to stay away!

My Sony Wega 50″ was dying (some sort of mirror issue causing blue streaks in the picture. Its apparently very prevelant in this model, but I have not gotten much response from Sony for a post warranty fix and from what hear its close to $1000 to repair). I was also 2 years + into my second bulb ($400). So I’ve had my eye out for a larger HD tv for several months now. I dont need PIP (comes with brighthouse DVR) and dont really care about sound since I pipe the cable/DVD audio to my reciever. I was just looking for a big, clear 1080p set. I saw this model in this week’s circuit city flyer (Jan 27, 2008) for $1399!. I got the tape measure out to make sure it would fit in my built-in media space and went to CC to check it out. With standard HD inputs (probably 1080i). This set appeared to have the best picture of all the projection units on the wall (with the exception of a Mitubisi 75″ unit that the salesman said was playing a 1080p HD DVD). I measured it out, and with my existing tv stand it fit in the media space with about 1 inch to spare on all sides. We loaded it my truck and took it home. In 20 minutes I had it fired up (well, almost, I needed to go buy an HDMI cable for $35). I’ve only got 1 day on it, but its a stunning picture and makes a huge difference from my 50″ Sony. My viewing distance is probably longer than most (maybe 15′ to the couch)
Anyway, if you are looking for a decent DLP set with a big picture and dont need a lot of useless bells and whistles get down to CC and check this one out.
For $1600 I’d probably look around a bit more, but at $1399 this set tripped my price trigger and I’m quite happy with it.
5 Stars Best 1080P for the price
I bought this hdtv in August 2007 after shopping for a hdtv for about 2 and a half years, mainly waiting for prices to drop and for 1080p models to come out instead of then current 720p models. It has been 5 months and I have NO bulb issues as of yet, but I have the bulb set to low power and do not turn it off and on frequently. The 1080p display is wonderful with an HDMI cable, I have this oneInspire 1080p (6.6ft) 2M HDMI PS3 Cable 1.3b Certified. Screen size is just the right size for watching football and using a PS3 for both gaming and Blu-ray movies. The HDMI inputs on this set are 1.3 even though it is not mentioned anywhere in the description. I am happy with my Toshiba.
5 Stars Nice Picture on this 65″ Set
First let me say I am a Toshiba fan. I have 3 other Toshiba tube units, one 15 years old and still running.
So far so good very good picture and a pleasure to watch. I bought mine late November 2007 and added a HD Sat Receiver mid December. To really appreciate this set you must have a HD receiver pushing HD. If you are not watching HD then you are stretching your standard def picture to 65″.
This unit has 3 HDMI inputs that makes playing XBox 360 and Playstation 3 a very easy experience switching sources and one HDMI for other expansion.
Now if I do not run into bulb issues this set will be perfect.
5 Stars Absolutely phenomenal!!!
This television is absolutely phenomenal!! The clarity is unbelievable and it is very easy to set up as well as navigate the menus. I strongly recommend buying generic HDMI cables as I have seen no noticeable difference between the so called “high quality” ones and the generic. PS3 and my HD-DVD players both look great. Playing the Nintendo Wii is an experience all in its own. The set has a multitude of options for connecting any device you can think of except S-video but honestly, who ever used S-video? Can’t say enough great things about this set. You won’t be disappointed.
5 Stars Excellent purchase
This is my first HDTV. It’s huge! I am very happy with it. I researched a lot of HDTV’s before choosing this one. I already own a Toshiba Theater view, which I am also happy with, I purchased years ago, so I trust the name. I use it for gaming as well, and it looks great. My HD channels are sparkling sharp, when they are broad casted correctly, of course. 1080p ready for the future. Plenty of ports for me. WOW sound really does make a difference. Delivery was excellent! No complaints.

1 Star No service
I scheduled a tv removal for a Friday beteween 3 and 4. Of course nobody showed up and for almost a week it was phone tag between zip and the local tech. Local tech always went to voice mail and he kept telling zip that he couldn’t get through to me even though he had my home and cell phone numbers. Zip themselves seemed to be ok but lacked the initiative to actually get anything done. Currently now trying to get my money refunded that they said they would honor.
5 Stars Great job!! Very satisfied with level of service!!
I would like to give a compliment to the technician you all sent out to do our installation. This was the best in-office service interaction I have ever had. Your Zip technician was a joy to work with, very knowledgeable, neat, detail oriented…shall I go on? Please commend him if this is possible, you have truly gained a lifelong customer of Human Capital Research Corporation (my company) through his service.
1 Star Don’t look for experience
I wanted a flat panel over my gas fireplace. I called zip and they sold me on a consultation fee of $99.00, which can be applied toward the installation if I chose to go forward. I agreed thinking I would at least get the pros and cons and a good knowledge of what it would take to hide wires and power cables behind the wall. Well, after one reschedule (due to their error) I got a “consultant” that knew nothing about mounting other than drop wires and cables straight down — outside the wall. I would ask him questions based on my limited knowledge from the internet and he seemed confused. Everthing was a maybe and nothing definitive. He said the company will call me back to go over the details. It has been over a month and no call. I searched Craiglist and got lots of installers, who did answer my questions, and the price was much cheaper than zip.
5 Stars Installation Review
Person arrived 10 minutes early and his partner showed up to help him 5 minutes later. They did a very nice job and I was concerned since the place that I bought the TV (Samsung 52″ Love it) was discouraging me from mounting our new TV on an older plaster wall. I learned a trick from these guys since many people are afraid of cracking plaster walls. Here is the trick- before your drill or try to cut into plaster, apply blue 3M painters tape which I think you can buy at Home Depot. Then drill through the tape and it keeps the plaster from cracking. Very neat trick. The finished TV mounting looks really good and they didn’t break my wall like Best Buy told me was a high likelihood.
1 Star Stay away
Zip Express Home Theater Installation Appointment - Next-Day ServiceStay away from this company. Initially I called them to install my TV and they were late but all went well. A few days later I hired them to set up my Harmony One remote. They gave me a 9 to 10 am appointment. At 9 am the technician called to say that he would arrive at 10:30. As he was not here at 11:30 I called to reschedule. I was given a 5 to 6 pm appointment, which was then changed to 6 to 7 pm, and then to 7 to 8 pm. The technician never showed up.[
